How it works

Five minutes. Include a link to where your audience is (profile, group, podcast or newsletter).

2. We review

If your audience is clinicians and your link works, you're accepted after a short check. We usually reply within 5 business days.

3. Get your code and kit

We set up your personal code and your Pro account.

4. Share it your way

Posts, stories, a newsletter, your group or a workshop. Whatever fits your audience.

5. Get paid monthly

You get a monthly report of sign-ups and paying clinicians, and your payout by the 15th.

Program terms

Personal codes

Only accepted partners get a personal code, and it works only for clinicians new to Mentalyc. You can't use your own code, and it doesn't earn commission on your own account.

Commission

$50 when a clinician you referred has paid Mentalyc $50, and another $50 when they reach $150 (after discounts and refunds), so up to $100 per clinician. Group practices count per seat, and seats added within 60 days of the first subscription count. Your own account, seats in a practice you own or run, and existing Mentalyc accounts don't count. Refunds after a payout are deducted from your next payout.

Payout

Paid monthly by bank transfer, by the 15th of each month, for referrals that qualified the month before. No minimum payout.

Same terms for everyone

We pay for results, not posts: no flat fees, upfront fees or sponsored posts, and nothing to negotiate. You earn up to $100 per paying clinician, with no cap.

Disclosure

Start every post that mentions Mentalyc or your code with a clear line such as "Ad: paid Mentalyc partner", and say it out loud in video and audio. #ad alone isn't enough. The free Pro account and the commission both count, as FTC guidelines and platform rules require.

Clinical integrity

Never share client information, real session material or real notes. Describe Mentalyc in your own words, and don't make claims about billing, coding or compliance that Mentalyc doesn't make.

Comparisons

Comparisons with other tools are fine if they're fair and carry your disclosure.

Ending

Either side can end the partnership at any time. Referrals that already qualified are still paid.

Changes and fair use

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email. Commissions you've already earned are kept. Self-referrals, fake sign-ups or posting your code on coupon sites end the partnership without payout.

FAQ

Do I need to be a clinician?

No. Practice consultants, billing educators, supervisors and creators are welcome, as long as your audience is clinicians.

Do I need to be a Mentalyc user?

No. Every partner gets free Pro for the first 60 days, so you can try it before you share it.

Is there a minimum audience size?

No. We look at who your audience is, not how big it is. A 2,000-member group of therapists can be a better fit than 100,000 general followers.

Can I join from outside the US?

Yes, if most of your audience is US clinicians. Payouts are in USD by bank transfer, and your bank may charge a fee to receive them.

Can I share it with my clients?

No. Mentalyc is a tool for clinicians, so share it with colleagues, not clients.

What does my audience get?

10% off with your code: the first 3 months on monthly plans, or the first year on annual plans. It applies after a 14-day free trial with full Pro access and up to 15 notes.

When does a referral count?

The first $50 counts once the clinician has paid Mentalyc $50, and the second $50 once they've paid $150, after discounts and refunds. On annual plans you're paid the full $100 after their first payment. On monthly plans, Pro reaches $50 in month 1 and $150 in month 3; Basic in about month 2 and month 5; Mini in about month 3 and month 9. You're paid by the 15th of the following month.

Is the commission recurring?

No. You get up to $100 once for each paying clinician: $50 at $50 paid and $50 at $150 paid. There's no cap on how many you refer.

Can I get a flat fee or a higher rate?

No. We don't pay flat fees or buy sponsored posts. Every partner gets the same terms: up to $100 per paying clinician, with no cap.

How are referrals tracked?

By your personal code, used when they subscribe. Only one code counts per subscription and it can't be added later, so pin it wherever you mention Mentalyc.

How do I track my results?

We send you a monthly report with sign-ups and paying clinicians from your code.

Can I run paid ads with my code?

Not on Mentalyc brand keywords. Organic content, newsletters, groups and events are all fine.

What happens to my Pro account?

What do you need before paying me?

Your bank details and a tax form: a W-9 in the US, or a W-8BEN outside the US (W-8BEN-E for companies). We collect them securely after you're accepted, never through the application form.

Will I get a 1099?

US partners we pay $2,000 or more in a calendar year get a Form 1099-NEC, as IRS rules require.

Is there a contract?

The program terms on this page are the agreement. You accept them when you apply.
